Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to urge the club to sign Peterborough striker Jack Marriott after he scored a brace against Aston Villa on Saturday.
Marriott, 23, took his overall goal tally for the season up to a staggering 23 goals as he netted twice in the second half secure an FA Cup upset against the Villains at Villa Park.
Steve Bruce’s side squandered a one goal lead to lose 3-1 to Peterborough, who had Marriott in stunning form and firing on all cylinders yet again.
News outlet ClubCall reported in December that Leeds were interested in Marriott, as well as his team-mate Marcus Maddison.
However it is Posh forward Marriott who has got the Elland Road faithful talking as many fans see him as the perfect man to bolster their strike force for the second half of the season.
Here is a selection of their tweets:

Marriott has been on fire this season, scoring 23 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions for Peterborough.
ClubCall reported that Aston Villa and Sunderland were also interested in the goal machine and that Leeds had sent scouts to watch him play in League One on Boxing Day when he scored a brace away at Bradford.
