Leeds forward switch on the cards for Jan, Christiansen may sanction double loan exit - report

Leeds forward Jay-Roy Grot may be made available to leave Elland Road on loan during the January transfer window, according to a report.
The Yorkshire Evening Post claims that Thomas Christiansen may sanction temporary exits for both the 19-year-old striker and fellow summer signing Mateusz Klich.
Grot was signed from NEC Nijmegen for £750,000 in the summer with that fee potentially rising above £1.5million with further add-ons.
However the Dutch teenager has failed to impress on his arrival at Elland Road and is yet to score a single goal in 15 appearances across all competitions – although the majority of them are off the bench.
Christiansen is also said to be considering letting Klich, 27, leave the Yorkshire club on a temporary basis.
The Poland international was signed from FC Twente last year but is well down the pecking order at Elland Road.
It is understood that Leeds will listen to offers for the midfielder with a move back to continental Europe the most likely option.
Football Insider verdict
Grot is still a young player who has some potential to reach. The Dutchman’s problem though is that he has failed to show any kind of potential when he has been given a chance on the pitch. Christiansen is right to not start the 19-year-old as he is nowhere near the level of Championship football. He is best off being loaned out to a team in England to continue his education in the British game. A move to Scotland may also be a possibility as a target man like him would be a decent fit to their style of football up north. Leeds fans need to be more patient with Grot though. He is young and is not starting many games, so it’s understandably he has found it hard to adjust.
