Leeds given major striker boost ahead of clash v Burton

Pierre-Michel Lasogga has made it clear that he is available to make his Leeds United debut against Burton Albion on Saturday.
There were doubts that the newly signed Elland Road striker would miss the home tie against the Brewers as he and his partner were expecting the birth of his child this weekend.
However Lasogga, 25, has been indirectly quoted by Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Phil Hay on his personal Twitter account as saying that his baby is due on Sunday and even if was to be born when Leeds are set to play, he will not miss the game under any circumstance.

Lasogga officially signed for Leeds on transfer deadline day on loan from Bundesliga side Hamburg SV, days after the Germans announced the news on their official Twitter account after there was a delay in completing the paperwork.
The German powerhouse is now poised for his debut for the Whites, which will come at Elland Road against a Burton side that are struggling to find their feet this season, further boosting the Yorkshire clubs’ chances of winning.

Pawel Cibicki, who was another late buy for United, and Jay-Roy Grot are also in contention to lead the attack for Thomas Christiansen but the Dane will be without the services of Caleb Ekuban after he was ruled out for eight weeks with a broken foot.
In other Leeds United news, Andrea Radrizzani has issued a message to the fans after season ticket sales were confirmed to have soared.
