Leeds have 'big' Raphinha transfer fear after what Phillips has seen
Leeds United fear “there will be a lot of interest” in Raphinha when the transfer market re-opens.
That is the view of 2000 European Golden Shoe winner Kevin Phillips, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 24-year-old’s debut for Brazil.
Raphinha provided two assists from the bench to help his country beat Venezuela 3-1 on Friday.
He missed out on his initial Brazil call-up in September after Premier League clubs prevented players from travelling to red-list countries.
In his seven appearances this season, Raphinha has scored three goals – more than any other Leeds player.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his thoughts on the winger’s debut, Phillips said: “His stock is rising, big time.

“To perform like that for Brazil, it doesn’t really get any better.
“We know the impact he has had on the Premier League. He has been amazing. But, to do it for Brazil is just brilliant. It puts his stock even higher.
“A performance like that has pros and cons for Leeds. On one hand you think, ‘Brilliant. He’s improving all the time.’
“But, on the other hand you fear that there will be a lot of interest from other clubs next year. They might try and nick him.
“It is great news for Leeds that he will come back buzzing and full of confidence though. Hopefully he can keep up that level of performance.”
