Leeds open talks to sell Junior Firpo & sign replacement - sources
Leeds United have opened talks with Real Betis over the sale of left-back Junior Firpo, sources have told Football Insider.
The Spanish club have already signed two Leeds United players this summer after completing deals for Diego Llorente and Marc Roca and are keen to add the 27-year-old.
Firpo is still highly regarded at United, who are reluctant to let the Dominican Republic international leave but are open to the idea if an adequate replacement is signed.
There are no other first-team left-backs at Leeds, who are now assessing the market for signings who can take over from Firpo. It is believed preliminary discussions have begun with a number of targets.

After a tough couple of seasons in the Premier League, Firpo has finally found his feet for Leeds in the Championship.
More of an attacking full-back than a defensive one, the 27-year-old is high energy, capable of running up and down the left wing for an entire game.
He may not have scored for the West Yorkshire club last season, but seven assists and a cross-accuracy rate of 25.5 per cent prove how much of an attacking threat Firpo is.
