Leeds are keen to add more than just Adam Forshaw to their midfield ranks this month, according to a report.
Leeds Live claim that the Forshaw deal has received a huge boost after it was confirmed that rivals Cardiff have signed Liverpool’s Marko Grujic.
Warnock had wanted Grujic over Forshaw and that looks like it could clear the road for Leeds to seal the deal.
Leeds Live claim that director of football Victor Orta is the man who is driving the Forshaw deal after organising his move from Brentford to Middlesborough in 2015.
If the deal does go through, despite him becoming Leeds’ fifth signing of a busy window, Leeds Live say they understand that Thomas Christiansen still wants to add more strength to his central midfield.
Football Insider verdict:
Leeds fans will be buoyed by the news that yet more new faces could be joining the club in January but we think they’d settle for what they’ve got at the moment if they could just add a solid striker to their ranks. They need goals to shoot them towards a play-off place in the second half of the season but it’s proving tricky to get a name at an acceptable price. That could well be the final piece of the jigsaw for Thomas Christiansen.
