EXCLUSIVE By Wayne Veysey
Leeds United winger Jack Clarke is poised to undergo a Tottenham medical today, Football Insider can reveal.
The Elland Road academy product is putting the finishing touches to a move to north London after the two clubs agreed a fee of £8.5million plus add-ons.
Sources at Leeds and Tottenham have told Football Insider that Clarke has been granted permission to head to Tottenham to discuss personal terms and complete a medical following a breakthrough in talks.
This comes after Spurs intensified their interest in the winger, 18, last week, with Football Insider first revealing the news of the bids from Tottenham that were initially rejected by Leeds.
The two clubs have now settled on a fee and Clarke has made it clear to Elland Road chiefs, including Marcelo Bielsa, that he wants to move to the Premier League giants.
It comes less than nine months after the teenager broke into the Leeds first team with a series of dazzling cameos, which suggested that he was a rare talent capable of playing at a higher level.
Clarke has just two years remaining on the Leeds contract that he signed when he turned professional on his 17th birthday in November 2017.
He has made 25 appearances for United, just five of which have come in the starting XI.
In other Leeds United news, it can be REVEALED that a Whites fans favourite wanted by Premier League clubs is set to tell Marcelo Bielsa this week that he wants to quit.
