Leeds United are resigned to losing Championship Player of the Season Crysencio Summerville this summer and will accept an appropriate offer, sources have told Football Insider.

Sources say an exit for the 22-year-old is now "inevitable" after the Whites failed to gain promotion back to the Premier League.

Summerville is attracting the most interest among Leeds' top players after his incredible form in the 2023-24 campaign.

The Netherlands Under-21 international made 49 appearances across all competitions for Leeds this season, starting in 45 of those outings.

He scored 21 goals and added 10 assists but Leeds ultimately fell short in the play-off final against Southampton at Wembley on Sunday (26 May).

The Yorkshire giants now face a growing need to sell players in the summer transfer window.

Leeds resigned to losing Summerville with £150m in sales needed

The club owe £190million for Andrea Radrizzani-era transfers, while their latest financial accounts revealed a £33.7million loss after player sales.

Summerville, who joined Leeds from Feyenoord in 2020, is under contract at Elland Road until June 2026.

He made his debut for the club in 2021 and has since become their most important and highest-valued star.

Daniel Farke's side finished third in the Championship this term and face another season in the second tier starting on 10 August.
