Leeds United backed to complete Aaron Wan-Bissaka deal in January after update - pundit

Leeds United could sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka for a “bargain” fee of £10million in January.

That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 25-year-old’s future.

As per 90min (16 December), Leeds have shown an interest in signing Wan-Bissaka from Man United.

The right-back has played just four minutes of senior football this season after being deemed surplus to requirements by Erik Ten Hag.

McManus insists a move to Elland Road would benefit all parties.

“I had completely forgotten he was at Man United, to be honest,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.

“Didn’t they pay £45million for him? He’s still only 25 so he could be a good signing for Leeds. It looks like he has no future at Man United.

“He could definitely go and improve Leeds. In terms of price, I think Man United would want at least half of that fee back.

“But you have to be realistic. Would they let him go for £15million, £10million? That would be a good deal for everyone.

“It gives Wan-Bissaka a chance to get his career back on track, Man United get rid of a player they don’t want and Leeds get stronger.

“I really think Leeds could pick up a bargain here.”

Wan-Bissaka joined Man United from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2019.

He has made 127 appearances for the club.

In other news, Kieran Maguire has claimed Leeds United have been “very, very busy” as a new deal is agreed.
