Leeds United fans are raging at Max Wober after his performance in the 3-0 Carabao Cup defeat v Middlesbrough at Elland Road.

Daniel Farke's side were on the wrong side of a heavy defeat as they were dumped out of the League Cup in the first round.

The result meant Leeds have now conceded six goals across their first two games of the season, with the blame resting on the defensive unit.

Wober has started both games alongside Joe Rodon, who was brought back to the club after a successful loan spell last season, but his performances have been disappointing.

Fans' anger at the Austria international has been bubbling since his departure on loan last summer, and they have been left with a short fuse after his return.

That fuse has already been lit by his performances so far, and fans have taken to social media to express their frustration with the defender.

Leeds United fans demand Max Wober leaves the club after his display v Middlesbrough

Wober was part of an exodus of star players from Elland Road after their relegation last summer, moving on loan to Borussia Monchengladbach.

He has now returned, alongside Brenden Aaronson who joined Union Berlin on loan, but both players have faced a negative reception from fans.

After his display against Middlesbrough, Wober has done little to ease those frustrations, and fans flocked to social media to express their views, labelling him "horrendous".
