Leeds United news: Agbonlahor issues relegation verdict after post-window transfer reveal
Gabby Agbonlahor has warned Leeds United they may get dragged even further into the relegation battle after they did not add to their squad in January.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker admitted he does not understand why Leeds did not sign anybody as the teams around them strengthened.
The Whites did not sign a senior player in the winter window despite their precarious position in the table.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side currently sit in 15th, just seven points above the relegation zone.
The Yorkshire Post reported on Tuesday (1 February) they turned down the chance to sign Donny van de Beek and Harry Winks from Man United and Tottenham, respectively.
Van De Beek eventually signed for Everton on loan while Winks stayed in north London.

Asked whether Leeds could be dragged into the relegation battle, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Definitely.
“Watford have got a new manager in, that’s going to give them a boost. Newcastle have signed a lot of players, that’s going to give them a boost.
“Leeds have got to be very careful. They’re playing Everton in two games time, that’s a massive game.
“I just don’t understand why they haven’t brought in any players. They’ve got a long injury list.
“It just doesn’t make sense. You would have thought they would have tried to bring in some players.
“Maybe they won’t be held to ransom to big prices, maybe that’s it.”
Leeds are next in action when they travel to Aston Villa on Wednesday evening (9 February).
They then visit Everton on Saturday (12 February) for the lunchtime kick-off.
