Leeds United news: Injury expert makes Tyler Adams claim - ‘big surprise…’
Tyler Adams will be in contention to start for Leeds United when they travel to face Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon.
That is the view of medical expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries site and has a background in injury and data analysis, speaking exclusively to Football Insider.
Adams was absent for the Whites last week during their 3-1 win over Accrington Stanley in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Jesse Marsch revealed prior to kick-off that he would make a “gameday decision” on whether to include Adams in his matchday squad.
The 23-year-old has only missed two Premier League matches for Leeds this season, but a minor knock suffered during training last week threatened his involvement in the Nottingham Forest match.
However, Dinnery would be surprised if Adams was left out of the starting lineup after learning that his injury was not a long-term concern.

“I fully expect Tyler Adams to be back in contention for Leeds United this weekend for their trip to the City Ground,” Dinnery told Football Insider.
“His absence last week can be given context.
“It was an away trip to Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup and Leeds had plenty of availability in that midfield, with some players needing minutes.
“So Jesse Marsch decided to keep Adams out of the firing line to help him recover from what turned out to be a minor knock.
“There’s nothing to suggest that it is going to be a long-term issue for the American so it would be a big surprise if he’s not pushing for a spot in the starting lineup on Sunday.“
