Leeds United are close to announcing three new signings, Football Insider has learned.

The newly-promoted Premier League club have made breakthroughs this week in their pursuits of Wigan Athletic striker Joe Gelhardt and Fulham right-back Cody Drameh.

A Leeds source has told Football Insider the club have had bids accepted for Gelhardt and Drameh, both 18, and personal terms have been agreed.

Both deals are in the final stages and set to be announced in the coming days.

The Whites will also complete another capture by announcing that Jack Harrison has signed another season-long loan from Man City.

The finalisation of the three deals will take Leeds' summer signings up to five, with the permanent captures of Helder Costa and Illan Meslier already in the bag.

Leeds have identified Gelhardt and Drameh as two young players who can make a big impact in Marcelo Bielsa's youth-oriented squad.

The manager has a big emphasis on developing players and nurturing those who can meet his exacting and demanding requirements.

Wigan's administrators have accepted their offer of £1million plus performance-related add-ons for Gelhardt.

United have also settled a fee for fellow England youth international Drameh of an initial £300,000 rising to a potential £1m.

Gelhardt has 21 first-team appearances in total for the Latics, 19 of which have come this season.

Drameh has yet to make his senior debut for Fulham but has earned rave reviews for his performances at age-group level for club and country.
