Leeds United have set their sights on adding Blackburn Rovers sensation Luke Brennan to the signing of Linfield sensation Charlie Allen, Football Insider can reveal.

A Leeds source has told Football Insider that the club are also keen on Rovers' 18-year-old winger Brennan.

The teeanger has shot up the Championship leaders' target list following his impressive development this season.

He has shot to prominence with his performances for Blackburn in their run to this season's FA Youth Cup semi-finals.

He scored in their 4-1 demolition of Arsenal and and has been a regular scorer and creator for the Lancashire outfit's Under-18s.

, who is a direct and pacy winger operating predominantly on the left flank, has also been promoted to the Under-23s and made seven Premier League 2 appearances this season.

He has been with the Rovers academy for more than a decade after joining at Under-7s level.

But the former Premier League champions are vulnerable to losing Brennan, especially to clubs in the top flight and operating with more significant budgets.

Blackburn, who are 10th in the suspended Championship, are still in with a shout of reaching the play-offs.

By contrast, Leeds are hot favourites for automatic promotion and are seven points clear of third-placed Fulham with nine matches of the league campaign remaining.
