Leeds United should land heavy punishment amid Raphinha claim - pundit
Leeds United deserve to be punished after fans threw paper on the pitch during their 4-0 loss to Man City on Saturday (30 April), according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed it was “very strange behaviour” from the fans, stewards and the police.
Jack Grealish, 26, was bombarded with paper when taking a corner but laughed it off and diffused the situation so it did not escalate.
Meanwhile, Raphinha was also “arguing” with his own supporters after they threw paper near him.
“It doesn’t matter that it’s only paper, they were putting the players off,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“It came to the stage where they throwing it at Raphinha, their own player, and he was having an argument with his own fans.

“It’s very strange behaviour and it’s very strange from the stewards and the police to not stop it. It came to a stage where there was loads on the pitch.
“If they get away with throwing paper then what’s next? Do they put something inside the paper and throw it?
“You can’t say it’s not a problem. I think they should be punished for that to stop them doing it again.”
The defeat for Leeds ended a five-game unbeaten run and leaves them just two points above the relegation zone.
Everton in 18th-place have a game in hand over the Yorkshire giants who still have to play Arsenal and Chelsea before the end of the season.
