James will be 'twisting arm' of Wales teammate to join Leeds after source reveal - pundit
Dan James will be “twisting the arm” of his Wales teammate Brennan Johnson to join Leeds United.
That is the view of ex-Whites goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Leeds’ interest in the Nottingham Forest winger.
This site revealed on 6 November that Leeds are tracking the 20-year-old as they assess potential targets for January and next summer.
A United has source told Football Insider that their scouts watched Johnson in Forest’s 1-1 draw with QPR on 29 October and will continue to assess him in forthcoming matches.
Johnson, who is under contract at the City Ground until 2023, has three goals and three assists in 17 Championship appearances this season.
He has established himself as a Wales international and was called up alongside James for the World Cup qualifiers against Belarus and Belgium.

Kenny claims that James, who signed for Leeds from Man United in the summer, could be crucial in luring his compatriot to West Yorkshire.
“I’d be surprised if Dan James wasn’t having a word with him when they’re at Wales together,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“He might be able to twist his arm. But having said that, I can’t see much twisting being needed.
“If a club like Leeds come in for you, you’re surely going to want that Premier League move.
“How could you turn that down? I’m sure there will be a few words said to him by Dan James. He’ll be bigging it up because it’s a massive club.“
