Leeds United will be in the race to sign Rhian Brewster if he is loaned out again by Liverpool next season, Football Insider understands.

The Yorkshire giants were among the clubs keen on the forward, 20, in January but lost out to Swansea City as they were willing to offer him more playing time.

A Leeds source has told Football Insider that the club are plotting a second attempt to prise Brewster from Anfield if, as expected, Jurgen Klopp gives the green light for him to get experience on loan.

The runaway Premier League leaders are in the market for a new forward this summer, with RB Leipzig's Timo Werner their top target.

Should Liverpool succeed in landing the Germany international, it is likely Klopp will loan Brewster out again.

There is a possibility he will go up a level to a Premier League club next season rather than return to the Championship.

Brewster joined Swansea on loan in January after struggling to force his way past the holy trinity of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, who have a stranglehold of the Liverpool attacking slots.

Swansea beat Leeds, Huddersfield Town and Aston Villa to the England Under-21 international's signature.

He has made a big impact at the Liberty Stadium, scoring four goals from his 11 Championship appearances, 10 of which have been starts.

Brewster has made only three appearances for his parent club, all of which came in the domestic cup competitions this season.

But the young centre-forward has an outstanding record for Liverpool and England at age-group level and has scored prolifically for all the teams he has played for.
