Dominik Livakovic has shown Leeds United what they've been missing after his heroics for Croatia against England on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old always manages to catch a lot of eyes on the international stage and did so once again despite Zlatko Dalic's team losing 4-2 to the Three Lions on 17 June.

There was a period in the game where Thomas Tuchel's side could have put the game to bed, but the shot-stopper denied them with some magnificent saves.

Livakovic has previously been linked with a move to Elland Road and they should revisit signing him after another impressive display for Croatia.

Karl Darlow's future at the Whites remains uncertain, with his current contract expiring at the end of June, while Lucas Perri has failed to live up to expectations in LS11.

The goalkeeper joined Dinamo Zagreb on loan with a buy option from Fenerbahce in the winter transfer window, but it remains to be seen what the future holds for him.

Leeds United see what Dominic Livakovic capable of in England win vs Croatia

Livakovic was one of the best players on the pitch despite being on the receiving end of a loss, but the shot-stopper couldn't have done much to save England's goals, with his defenders letting him down.

As per Sofascore, the goalkeeper made seven saves, recorded one punch and won two of the duels he was involved in.

The Three Lions' threats from corners, crosses and runners in behind were also dealt with by Fenerbahce star, coming to Croatia's defence on multiple occasions.

Livakovic put on a vintage performance against England and it will be interesting to see whether that prompts teams across Europe to pursue his signing.

Leeds 'unhappy' with Karl Darlow as Daniel Farke has 'sleepless nights' over contract decision

Karl Darlow dilemma remains at Elland Road

Football Insider transfer correspondent Pete O'Rourke shared in May that Leeds wanted to tie Darlow down to a new contract and were advancing in talks over a deal.

Even if the Whites manage to keep hold of the Wales international, there will surely be questions over whether he should be their number one option for next season.

With Farke not shy about his ambitions at Elland Road, the West Yorkshire outfit should bring in an upgrade over the 35-year-old in the summer, and Livakovic may be the answer.
