Leeds United stars to earn '£125m' as Premier League bonuses revealed
Leeds United will be paying their first-team squad around £125million in wages at Elland Road this season.
That is according to former Manchester City financial adviser Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider the bonuses owed for staying up are significantly lower than the Whites’ wage bill.
Leeds have secured their Premier League status for another campaign following their strong recent run of form.
Daniel Farke’s side are unbeaten in their past eight top-flight games, moving them up to 14th in the table.
That is set to provide Leeds’ financial situation with a boost, but it also means their players are in line for substantial bonuses.
How Leeds' wages are set to increase this season
The Athletic reported on 10 May precisely how much Leeds’ stars could be in line to earn following their exploits this season.
If they finish 15th, the squad would equally share a bonus of £3m, while that figure increases by a further £500,000 to £3.5m if they remain in 14th place.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson discussed the bonuses owed to Leeds’ players after avoiding relegation this season.
“They probably have a per place bonus on them,” said Borson.
“It's not that much money when you split it across the squad when the first-team squad's probably already earning let's say £125m.
“Don’t get me wrong, it's a nice bonus, but it's not life changing for these guys.”
Why Leeds are set to smash club-record revenue
Leeds posted their latest accounts for 2024-25 last month, providing an insight into the financial situation at Elland Road.
The Yorkshire giants’ revenue increased from £128m in 2023-24 to £137m in their promotion-winning campaign last season.
Meanwhile, Leeds are set to post a club-record revenue as a result of their performances this season, with their turnover expected to surpass £200m.
In terms of their wage bill, the Whites’ total surged from £84m in 2023-24 to £103m in 2024-25 following their promotion back to the Premier League.
Farke is now preparing his side to face third-bottom West Ham on the final day of the season, with an 11th-place finish still a possibility if they claim all three points at the London Stadium.
