Leeds can secure themselves double Daniel Farke and Julian Brandt agreement in one fell swoop
Leeds United have ambitious plans to sign Borussia Dortmund playmaker Julian Brandt in the ongoing transfer window.
The Whites are reportedly in the race to acquire the Germany international's services on a free transfer once his contract at the Signal Iduna Park expires at the end of June.
With the West Yorkshire outfit looking to add more quality to their ranks ahead of next season, the 30-year-old's move would undoubtedly be a coup in LS11.
Daniel Farke is yet to commit his future at Elland Road, but Brandt's potential arrival at Leeds would show the ambition the German manager wants to see from the club.
The versatile attacking-midfielder has spent his entire professional career in the Bundesliga and may want to test himself in the Premier League and his arrival could prompt the former Norwich boss to extend his contract, which currently expires in 2027.
While the German star's stock has fallen slightly in recent years, he has still contributed immensely at Dortmund and would surely make an impact at Elland Road.
Leeds United in Julian Brandt transfer fight
Leeds know they aren't the only clubs interested in Brandt, who scored seven goals and provided four assists in the Bundesliga this season.
The Whites are looking to strengthen their squad and have identified the Germany international as a prime option.
According to the YEP on 19 June, the West Yorkshire outfit are exploring a deal for Brandt, who is set to end a seven-year spell at Dortmund.
The Peacocks are one of the several options the midfielder has on his table, with a Champions League club also said to be in the race for his signature.
Daniel Farke already has Julian Brandt transfer alternative
Sources have told Football Insider that Harvey Elliott would be keen on a move to Leeds as he looks for a way out of Liverpool.
The 23-year-old is a younger prospect than Brandt, who has proven himself in the Premier League, although his loan spell at Aston Villa wasn't encouraging.
If the German playmaker doesn't end up arriving in LS11 this summer, then Farke should demand the West Yorkshire outfit go full steam ahead to sign Elliott.
