Leeds can take advantage of Wolves whirlwind in Ladislav Krejci deal
Daniel Farke may be able to accelerate a deal for Wolves' Ladislav Krejci following the latest drama emerging from Molineux Stadium.
The 27-year-old centre-half has long been linked with a move to Elland Road, and rumours have intensified ever since the Old Gold's relegation to the Championship.
Wolves have already done some fine business, adding Raul Jimenez and Kieran Trippier to the squad on free transfers, but this is just the beginning of a very long summer for the club.
Drama has already sparked in the Black Country, with Rob Edwards being sacked after just seven months in charge, and that opens to the door to several players now being poached.
The Old Gold already lost the likes of Emmanuel Agbadou and Jorgen Strand Larsen during the winter window, and more big names are expected to leave over the coming months.
Leeds are certainly one of the clubs that can take advantage this summer, and Krejci could well be on his way to West Yorkshire, thanks to a shakeup in the dugout.
Rob Edwards sack news stuns the football pyramind
Many expected Edwards to lead Wolves into the 2026-27 campaign, having worked wonders during his very limited time in charge at Molineux.
He had put himself in an impossible situation after leaving Middlesbrough, and that decision has massively backfired for the 43-year-old, who could be replaced by Cesar Peixoto.
Of course, the Whites won't care about his future in the slightest, and the strange move from Wolves' hierarchy should only trigger a move for star defender Krejci.
Capable of also playing in the centre of midfield, much like Ethan Ampadu, the Czechia captain could be available for a bargain fee. It seems like a no-brainer.
Wolves duo also on the radar at Elland Road
Unsurprisingly, Krejci is not the only player being linked with a move away from Molineux. More unusually, Leeds are interested in another two.
Santiago Bueno and Hugo Bueno have both appeared on the radar at Elland Road, with both impressing during a difficult campaign for Wolves.
It wouldn't be a surprise in the slightest if all three found new homes in the Premier League this summer, given the uncertainty at Molineux.
Farke wants the hierarchy to show belief in him by backing the manager in the transfer market, and looking at deals for relegated players could certainly be one way to do that on a budget.
