Roony Bardghji could be on his way to Leeds United from Barcelona in the summer transfer window.

The Sweden international, who was left out of the 2026 World Cup squad by Graham Potter, faces an uncertain future at Camp Nou this summer.

As things stand, the winger is expected to begin pre-season training with the Blaugrana, but his situation will be worth keeping an eye on.

Bardghji has reportedly emerged as a target at Elland Road as the forward looks for regular game time away from Barcelona, where he's behind Lamine Yamal in the pecking order.

The Catalan club spent around £2.1million to sign the 20-year-old from Copenhagen last summer and started in just seven LaLiga games in the 2025-26 campaign.

With the Swedish winger establishing himself as one of the biggest prospects in football in recent years, the West Yorkshire outfit could present an opportunity to fulfil that potential.

Roony Bardghji transfer latest amid Leeds United interest

Bardghji got a move to Barcelona off of some impressive performances in the Danish Superliga, but has found game time hard to come by under Hansi Flick.

The youngster's contract at Camp Nou runs until 2029 and the most likely scenario right now is a loan move away from the Catalan club.

According to Mundo Deportivo on 26 June, a temporary switch away from Barcelona is currently the most probable outcome for Bardghji, with Leeds interested in him.

As things stand, the Spanish giants are yet to receive any cash offers for the Swedish ace, and it remains to be seen whether the West Yorkshire outfit will take the initiative to acquire his services this summer.

Daniel Farke wants Elland Road revolution

Sources told Football Insider on 23 June that Leeds would pull off a massive coup by signing Julian Brandt, with Atletico Madrid and Roma interested in the Germany international.

The Whites are expected to find it difficult to strike a deal with the free agent, whose contract at Borussia Dortmund is expiring.

Regardless of whether the West Yorkshire outfit succeed in their approach for the 30-year-old, they've shown plenty of ambition early on this summer and even Bardghji could be a part of Daniel Farke's plans in LS11.
