Lukas Nmecha already fearing for Leeds United future after Wilson Isidor's 100% display
Lukas Nmecha should already checking over his shoulders as Daniel Farke prepares for a, hopefully, interesting summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old arrived on a free transfer from Wolfsburg last summer, and he would have had dreams of leading the line in the Premier League, but the manager had other plans.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin's arrival usurped any excitement that the Manchester City product brought with him, being forced to make an impact from the bench for most of the campaign.
While he was able to notch seven goals and three assists in 37 games, it quickly became clear that he was second choice, and that could already be his downfall at Elland Road.
Leeds United already eyeing Lukas Nmecha's replacement
Farke has made it very clear to the owners already that he wants to be backed in the market this summer, otherwise he'll be walking away from the club.
After he led the Whites to 14th in the Premier League table and an FA Cup semi-final, it appears to be a very real threat, and one that needs to be considered.
Of course, it isn't just as simple as splashing the cash once the window opens. There will have to be departures to fund these deals as well.
And given that Nmecha arrived on a free transfer, any sale would be a profit, and could immediately be put towards a deal for Sunderland and Haiti star Wilson Isidor.
Daniel Farke surely has eyes on Wilson Isidor
After scoring 13 times last season, Isidor was forced to take a backseat at the Stadium of Light, with Brian Brobbey being brought in as the first-choice centre-forward.
Although the Black Cats secured European football, a move to Elland Road might be too good for the striker to turn down, and he is still proving himself outside of the normal seasons.
Despite Haiti's friendly defeat to Peru on Saturday, 6 June, he took his goal brilliantly in the first half, sweeping home a free-flowing move.
During his hour on the pitch, he completed 100 per cent of his passes, created a chance, won 67 per cent of his ground duels, and won two fouls, all while taking just nine touches [FotMob].
That is what many would class as 'clinical' and Farke will undoubtedly see the same.
