Leeds will be open to selling Pascal Struijk this summer if they bolster Daniel Farke's squad with new centre-back signings, sources have told Football Insider.

Several centre-backs have been linked to the Whites in recent weeks as they aim to improve Farke's defensive depth.

The Leeds manager is keen to improve his backline options to help push his side up the top flight next season, especially as Struijk is linked away.

He impressed for the Whites throughout last term, but is approaching the final year of his contract at Elland Road.

Numerous clubs have been linked to Struijk's services, and as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider's Transfer Insider podcast, he could be allowed to leave Leeds if some new centre-backs are brought in.

The Whites have been keen to tie him down to a new contract, but talks have stalled recently and he may well look to leave soon.

They will not stand in his way if a new centre-back is signed, and he is still set to command a sizeable fee despite his contract situation.

Leeds open to Pascal Struijk sale if a replacement is signed

The 26-year-old helped the Whites avoid relegation in his eighth season at the club, with 37 appearances made across all competitions as they also reached the FA Cup semi-final.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: "He’s still a key player for Leeds, but if they are to bring in more defensive signings this summer, that might push Struijk down the pecking order.

"That might lead to Leeds maybe looking to move him on, but as things stand right now I think they have no plans to let him go unless they bring in replacements."

Leeds ready to pay 'huge fee' for Ousmane Diomande signing, 49ers Enterprises to back Daniel Farke

Leeds readying 'huge' bid to sign Ousmane Diomande as Struijk replacement eyed

Numerous centre-backs have been linked to Leeds, with links to Diomande being the most persistent over recent weeks.

He has attracted suitors across Europe after a standout season with Sporting CP, and is currently at the World Cup with the Ivory Coast.

Sources have exclusively revealed to Football Insider that Leeds' chiefs are prepared to go all out for Diomande this summer as they look to back Farke in the market.

The 22-year-old would surely arrive as a replacement for Struijk, potentially allowing him to move on to pastures new.
