Leeds United have emerged as the favourites to secure the signing of hotshot Harry Wilson as Fulham remain desperate to keep hold of their star.

The Wales international’s contract is set to expire at the end of June and both parties are yet to agree on a new deal.

Wilson proved to be one of the best attackers in the Premier League this season as he netted 10 goals and picked up seven assists as the Cottagers narrowly missed out on European football.

On Monday, Fulham announced which players would be leaving the club upon the expiry of their contract, with the attacker not named amid reports that he has been offered a new deal.

Nevertheless, this uncertainty has led to Leeds emerging as the favourites for his signature, with one UK bookmaker placing the odds at 2/1 after they were recently slashed.

Wilson has been at the London club since 2022 and has made 187 appearances in all competitions and scored 36 goals.

Harry Wilson could be an astute Leeds United signing

If Leeds United can get the signing of Wilson over the line, he could prove to be a wonderful new addition to the squad.

The Peacocks had few consistent attacking outlets this season, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin being the only player to net more than eight goals, while no one collected more than five assists.

If Wilson can replicate his form from the 2026-27 campaign, he can solve this issue for Daniel Farke.

This could help push Leeds away from the relegation zone and potentially towards the top-half of the Premier League for the 2026-27 campaign.

Who else is chasing Wilson this summer?

Football Insider had exclusively revealed that Aston Villa had opened preliminary talks to sign Wilson this summer transfer window.

Early talks have taken place with the 29-year-old winger’s representatives ahead of his contract expiring at the end of June.

Villa have long been linked with Wilson as the club looks to boost the quality in their squad ahead of their return to the Champions League next season.

However, it remains to be seen if this will affect a potential Leeds United pursuit for Wilson in any way over the coming months.
