Leeds United will allow Lucas Perri to leave this summer if they can bring in a new number one goalkeeper, sources have told Football Insider.

Italian side Torino have identified the Brazilian as clear target ahead of next season, but are only pushing for a loan move for him at the moment.

Leeds would prefer the possibility of a permanent sale, but may yet consider a loan if they can get new faces through the door to bolster their own options.

Illan Meslier has left to join Arsenal and if Karl Darlow joins Manchester United, then sources say that the Whites could be in the market for as many as three glovemen.

Perri is firmly out of favour at Elland Road, but Torino's chances of being able to move for him permanently are slim, due to his lofty wages at the moment.

Daniel Farke is already clear that he wants to move away from the 28-year-old after a rocky 2025-26 campaign, and a move to Serie A could offer the perfect solution.

Leeds facing huge goalkeeping rebuild

Leeds are facing a transition period when it comes to the goalkeeping department this summer, with potentially all three of last year's options heading elsewhere.

The West Yorkshire outfit were finally able to get Meslier off their books after several attempts last summer, but were keen to keep Darlow despite him being out of contract .

The veteran Welshman instead appears to be closing in on a move to Old Trafford, even though Leeds put an offer on the table to keep him.

Farke is keen to move Perri out of the door as well, but any move is likely to hinge on players coming in the other direction.

Parma's Zion Suzuki, James Trafford and Derby's Jacob Zetterstrom have all been linked with moves to Elland Road in recent weeks, as the club desperately try to line up reinforcements.

Sources: Jacob Zetterstrom wants Leeds move as Derby panic over offer

Jacob Zetterstrom wants Leeds move

Football Insider revealed last week that Zetterstrom is keen on the idea of a move to Leeds this summer, as he is desperate to play Premier League football.

The 27-year-old is out of contract with the Championship outfit in the summer of 2027, and is hoping to test himself at the highest level in the coming years.

Derby are growing increasingly concerned about losing the Swedish star ahead of next season, and are understood to be expecting offers to come in for him.

Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt are also strong admirers of the shot-stopper, who impressed for his country at the World Cup.
