Leeds will be 'worried' about 'brilliant' Llorente after latest reveal - pundit
Kevin Campbell has claimed Leeds United’s inability to keep Diego Llorente fit is “worrying” given his importance to the team.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the Sky Sports pundit and ex-Arsenal striker said Marcelo Bielsa’s side’s reliance on Llorente, 28, is understandable given his ‘brilliance’.
Llorente returned from injury on Saturday to help Leeds to their first three points of the season against Watford.
As revealed by LUFCDATA (October 3rd), the Whites’ win percentage is 20 per cent higher (53 per cent) when the Spain international is in the side.
Injuries have limited the centre-half to just 19 appearances across all competitions since his arrival from Real Sociedad 12 months ago.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of the stats, Campbell said: “Yes, there’s clearly a reliance there.

“But, at the end of the day that’s understandable because he is a brilliant player. Players of that quality make a difference to teams.
“He has been injured an awful lot since coming to England. Leeds have not managed to reach the levels they did last season. But, if they keep Llorente fit for a consistent period they will get much closer though.
“Llorente is a key player for them. He is experienced at the top level. It’s just worrying that they cannot keep him fit. The Premier League is uncompromising.”
Llorente has made four appearances in the 2021-22 campaign.
He has not been included in Spain’s squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
