Exclusive: Preston register interest in signing Leicester City star Oliver Skipp
Preston are interested in a loan move for Leicester midfielder Oliver Skipp as a potential replacement for captain Ben Whiteman, sources have told Football Insider.
He has also amassed over 100 Premier League appearances across spells with Spurs and the Foxes.
Skipp joined Leicester in a permanent deal worth £20million in 2024, but has experienced back-to-back relegations in the East Midlands.
He is yet to play below the second tier in his career so far, with Preston now keen on a move to potentially replace Whiteman, who has expressed a desire to leave.
Wrexham have reportedly seen an offer accepted for Whiteman's services, with North End boss Paul Heckingbottom pushing to make instant reinforcements to his midfield options.

Skipp emerged through Spurs' youth ranks to become a regular in their first-team squads as a teenager during the 2018-19 campaign.
He impressed enough to earn a loan move to promotion-chasing Championship outfit Norwich in 2020, and made 45 league appearances under Daniel Farke as they finished first with 97 points.
Three more seasons as a rotation option at Tottenham followed before he joined Leicester two years ago, but his move has not gone to plan so far.
