Liel Abada set to quit Celtic for 'big' fee after source's offer reveal - pundit
Alan Hutton has suggested Celtic will sell Liel Abada if a “big bid” is made.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Rangers right-back insisted Abada still has “a lot to give in a Celtic shirt” but the club won’t be able to turn down a sizeable offer.
On 9 April, sources told this site that the 21-year-old is wanted by multiple Premier League clubs, including Southampton and Crystal Palace, amid tensions with manager Ange Postecoglou.
The Israel international’s current contract runs until 2026 but is believed to have rejected the Hoops’ offer of an extension as he eyes up a summer move.
According to Sky Sports (17 April), Ajax are positioning themselves to be in the hunt for the winger this summer and have been monitoring his situation in Glasgow.
When asked what he made of Abada’s potential move to the Netherlands, Hutton told Football Insider: “Obviously it is a massive footballing team with a lot of history.

“It is a huge club, huge stadium, great support, they are looking to win things. But he is still very young and has a lot to give.
“He is obviously going to improve as a player and I think he is at a good place playing under a very good, experienced manager.
“The grass is not always greener, sometimes you can go to these clubs and get a bit lost. There is very high expectations and a lot of pressure that comes with that.
“But he has got a lot of time on his hands, I do not see a reason to rush off unless there is a big bid that comes in. Rangers and Celtic do not turn that down, that is what it is all about for them.
“Of course it would be a good move but I think he has still got a lot to give in a Celtic shirt.“
