Thiago has made 37 appearances for the German giants this season and helped them win their eighth consecutive league title in June.
He also starred against Chelsea last week as Bayern continued their march towards Champions League glory with a 7-1 aggregate thrashing of Frank Lampard’s side.
When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the Spain international’s transfer situation, Mills said:
“An incredibly talented player and Liverpool need to strengthen if they want to compete on all fronts next season. A top class player and he would fit into just about every side.
“If he comes there is the question of where he plays and where he fits into that team. For a lot of players that will be a big consideration.
“It is not a move for money because Bayern could easily go on to win the Champions League next season. The best players will always have options, no matter what and he will hold all of the aces.”
Jurgen Klopp already boasts a talented midfield with Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, Fabinho, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Georginio Wijnaldum all to choose from.
However, the German manager is a known admirer of Thiago.
