Trent Alexander-Arnold is seen as the future of Liverpool by the board - and they are 'confident'

Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to be offered a long-term bumper contract by Liverpool, sources have told Football Insider.

Well-placed sources have told Football Insider that the full-back is expected to be offered the "biggest" and "longest-term deal" out of the superstar trio.

His contract is set to expire in 2025, but it is believed that he is not pushing for a move away from his boyhood club.

The Liverpool hierarchy see the 25-year-old as the future of the club and are keen to see him commit his long-term future to them.

The club are confident that he will sign a new deal that will increase his reported £180,000-a-week wages.

Alexander-Arnold has been crucial to the Reds' success since making his professional debut in October 2016.

Since then, he has racked up 218 appearances in all competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing 57 assists.

This season, he has bagged two goals and nine assists in all competitions, including a crucial late equaliser against fellow title rivals Man City in November.
