Liverpool eye 22-year-old goal machine - report

Liverpool are interested in Sassuolo attacker Domenico Berardi, according to a report.
Italian publication Gazzetta Di Modena claim that the Reds are eyeing the 22-year-old goal machine and could look to raid the Italian club for his signature.
The report details that Liverpool have ruled out a January move for the Italian, but could try to sign him in the summer transfer window.
Berardi has been plagued by a serious knee injury for the majority of this season, but has recently returned to full fitness in the new year.
The attacker has made eight appearances across all competitions this campaign, scoring seven goals and supplying three assists.

He usually operates as a right winger and can also be deployed as a central striker, something that could prove useful in Jurgen Klopp’s three-man attacking set-up.
Berardi has scored 56 goals in 142 appearances for Serie A club Sassuolo and is continuing to develop every game.
He has played a big role in Italy’s Under-21s side by making 18 appearances for them and is tipped to become a regular in the senior team in the future.

Liverpool should continue to monitor the form of Berardi this season as he has the potential to become a great player. He has a sensational goal return from his eight games so far this campaign and it will be interesting to see if he can continue that form in the upcoming months. The attacker impressed during the Under-21s European Championships and was considered to be one of the emerging youngsters to come out of the competitions. Liverpool should swoop for him in January if the 22-year-old continues to impress. The winger could slot nicely into the club’s attacking system and would certainly help improve competitions for places in the squad.
