Liverpool fans destroy 23-year-old after display in Hull defeat
By Dominic Toner
Emre Can played 67 minutes for Liverpool in Saturday’s Premier League defeat to Hull – and the club’s supporters were furious with his performance on Twitter.
The 23-year-old was withdrawn in the second-half after failing to influence the game and couldn’t prevent his side from suffering a shock away defeat.
The Reds were beaten 2-0 by Hull, with Alfred N’Diaye and Oumar Niasse on the scoresheet for the hosts.
Jurgen Klopp’s side appear to be out of the title race now as they are 13 points behind leaders Chelsea, but face a tough battle to remain in the top four positions.
Liverpool fans were extremely disappointed after the Hull loss and highlighted the display of central midfielder Can.

How can Klopp not see that by starting Emre Can and Lucas he'd already lost the game? Really letting down the fans week on week. #LFC

I know it was an all round poor performance, but Klopp should consider leaving Emre Can on the bench for the next match. #LFC

Can has been a regular feature in the Liverpool starting line-up this season and is a big favourite of manager Klopp.
However, the Reds have operated with a midfield trio of Georginio Wijnaldum, Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson at times this season.
The Merseyside club face second-placed Tottenham in their next match and Klopp could be tempted to resort back to a midfield without Can.
The German international is a defensive-minded player and offers very little attacking threat to the side.
