Liverpool fans have been left fuming at Mohammed Salah after his role in the disallowed Trent Alexander-Arnold goal at Old Trafford.

Arne Slot's side recorded a comfortable 3-0 win away from home thanks to a brace from Luis Diaz and a redemptive strike from Salah.

However, the result could have been even more comfortable for the Reds after Alexander-Arnold's eighth-minute strike was disallowed due to a narrow offside call.

As Diaz squared the ball across the box, Salah got a flick on it which took it through to the right-back, before VAR replays showed he was in an offside position.

Replays also showed that without the touch from Salah, the ball still would likely have found its way to his teammate, leaving fans frustrated by his impact.

Liverpool fans fume at Mo Salah after VAR decision v Man United

Liverpool were able to cruise to what was a comfortable win despite the pressure of the occasion, but a disallowed early goal put fans on edge.

Should the game not have gone the way it did, it could have been a costly error from Salah, and the immediate reaction from fans was one of frustration.

Many supporters took to social media following the VAR decision to express their anger at the winger, labelling him "greedy" and "dumb".
