Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter to Harry Wilson’s audacious goal against Manchester United and are calling for him to be given a call-up to Jurgen Klopp’s first team squad.

The Liverpool Under-23s captain has been in sublime form and he scored with a cheeky back-heel during the 1-1 draw on Tuesday evening.

His form has been so impressive that Liverpool fans are now calling for Wilson to be given a shot in the first team squad alongside other youngsters Kevin Stewart, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Cameron Brannagan.

Wilson, 19, joined the club in back in 2005 and has risen through the academy ranks. He has been widely hailed as one of Liverpool’s brightest young stars.

The former Under-18s regular was introduced to Neil Critchley’s reserve squad during the 2013-14 season and has since become a key player under Michael Beale this year.

Wilson has already enjoyed his full international debut as he was handed a surprise start by Chris Coleman when he appeared for Wales at just 16 years of age.

He broke Gareth Bale’s national record as the country’s youngest goalscorer but an injury-packed 2015-16 season delayed his arrival onto the Liverpool scene.

However, after yet another influential display against United on Tuesday, fans are now hailing Wilson as the club’s next biggest star and want to see him involved with the first team squad full-time.
