Paul Pogba scored a long range strike for France in their World Cup qualifier against Holland on Monday night – but Liverpool fans on Twitter believe he will go missing when he visits Anfield next Monday.
Manchester United midfielder Pogba opened the scoring for France, when his long range effort was parried by Dutch keeper Maarten Stekelenburg after 30 minutes.
Didier Deschamps side beat a timid Danny Blind’s Netherlands 1-0 in Amsterdam, as France topped group A with seven points on the road to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Reds fans believe Jurgen Klopp’s high intensity pressing will mean the midfielder will not get the space required to shoot from that distance in next Monday’s Premier League showdown between the north-west big guns..
While another Merseyside supporter was hoping he was leaving his best action for the Holland game, as he lauded his wonder strike.
