Liverpool fans react on Twitter to reported swoop for wonderkid

By Dominic Toner

Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessesgnon – and the club’s supporters are excited on Twitter about the prospect of signing the youngster.

The Daily Mail claim that the Reds are hoping to win the race to sign the 16-year-old left-back ahead of the likes of Tottenham and Manchester City.

It is understood that the Championship defender is one of the Merseyside’s clubs prime targets, but Fulham are reluctant to sell the talented youngster.

The Liverpool Echo claim that manager Jurgen Klopp will sanction a total refurbishment of the team this summer and will have a kitty of £200million at his disposal.

Liverpool have had to use make-shift left-back James Milner in the full-back position this season as Alberto Moreno has fallen down the pecking order.

The Reds fans approve of a move for emerging star Sessegnon, but suggest they may need a senior option too.

Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Sessegnon is enjoying a breakout season at Craven Cottage and is emerging as one of the most talked about youngsters in English football.

The teenager is an attack-minded full-back and has already made 26 senior appearances for Fulham.

He has scored six goals and supplied four assists in return, showcasing what a great impact he can make going forward.
