Jurgen Klopp has named the side to take on Everton in the Merseyside derby on Saturday and while fans were pleased to see him back, they were also bemused to see Ragnar Klavan seemingly starting at left-back.
However, as one fan pointed out, it could be a back five, with Nathaniel Clyne and James Milner was wing-backs.
Either way, fans are surprised to see Klavan and not Alberto Moreno, with one fan saying the Spaniard should be “packing his bags” already.
After the amazing 3-0 demolition job on Man City and the second leg to come on Tuesday, Klopp has decided to rest certain key stars for the game that is always physical and demanding.
The Man City job isn’t completely done and with City’s attackers capable of hauling back a three-goal deficit, Klopp is taking no chances today.
The team news was announced on the official Liverpool Twitter page ahead of the 12.30pm kick-off:

Liverpool are 10 points clear of Chelsea in fifth place and Klopp’s priority is progression in Europe’s elite competition.
Mohamed Salah limped off early in the second half against Man City and he gets rested today, while Roberto Firmino is on the bench.
Liverpool fans are now keen to see what formation Klopp puts out and are hoping Klavan isn’t playing left-back.
Here are the best reactions from Liverpool fans ahead of the derby game they always want to win:

Not sure why Moreno is not playing left back. Van Dijk should be rested with Klavan center back. Confusing🤔 #LFC
