Liverpool fans have reacted with intrigue on Twitter after a report claimed Jurgen Klopp was interested in Arsenal ace Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The Guardian claimed on Wednesday evening that the 23-year-old attacker could be brought to Anfield, as Sadio Mane prepares to jet off to represent Senegal at the African Cup of Nations.
According to the report, a deal will be a difficult one to pull off if Liverpool make a concrete offer for the England international as the two sides go head to head for the Premier League title.
However, with 18 months remaining on his current Emirates Stadium contract, Arsene Wenger could be tempted to cash in on Oxlade-Chamberlain before losing him on a free transfer.
Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter in excitement, while some have questioned whether the former Southampton ace would achieve a regular slot in Liverpool’s side.

I'd be happy for Liverpool to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. If we can help him reach his potential he will be brilliant for us. #LFC

Scoring 20 goals in his 172 appearances for the Gunners and providing another 27 assists, Oxlade-Chamberlain offers versatility as he can play out wide or in the middle of midfield.
But with plenty of competition on the wings in north London in the likes of Alex Iwobi, Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez, Oxlade-Chamberlain could jump ship in order to gain first-team football.
