Liverpool fans reacted with delight on Twitter as Jurgen Klopp confirmed Georginio Wijnaldum is set to return against West Brom on Saturday.
The Dutchman missed Liverpool’s goalless draw against Manchester United on Monday evening after picking up an injury during the international break.
The midfielder has been a crucial part of Klopp’s side since joining from Newcastle in the summer and has built a strong partnership with Jordan Henderson.
Klopp revealed on Thursday afternoon that Wijnaldum will train with the senior squad on Thursday, as quoted by the personal Twitter account of Express reporter Paul Joyce.
Klopp says Wijnaldum is on the way back. Will train today. Milner fit.

Wijnaldum was sorely missed against United, as Liverpool looked short of midfield strength and solidity as Emre Can and Philippe Coutinho filled the voids left by the Dutchman and Adam Lallana.

The news of Wijnaldum’s return against West Brom will leave Klopp with a decision on whether to recall him to the starting XI.
The only doubt for the clash against West Brom this weekend is James Milner, but he’s also been confirmed as fit to play.
Should Wijnaldum start, he’ll make his eighth league appearance of the season and fans are already looking forward to seeing him back on the pitch.
Here is a selection of some of the best messages on Twitter;
Wijnaldum is definitely one of those 'only realise how important he is when he's not playing' players. His absence was really felt vs Utd.

Wijnaldum's runs were a big miss for us on Monday, there weren't that much space anyway but West Brom aren't United and Pulis isn't Mourinho
