Liverpool fans took to Twitter to slam Jordan Henderson for his performance in the 3-3 draw against Sevilla.

Fans were fuming with the captain, in particular, after watching their side drop a comfortable 3-0 lead to end up drawing 3-3.

A win against Sevilla would have confirmed the Reds’ entry into the knockout stages of the Champions League with a game to spare.

Instead, Liverpool now need to earn a point in their final Champions League group game against Spartak Moscow on December 6.

While the Reds’ ability to concede three goals in the second half led to the team’s defence being questioned, in particular Alberto Moreno, fans were not letting Henderson off for his part in Sevilla’s comeback.

The midfielder won no tackles, making five fouls in the process, and only had a pass accuracy of 55% in the game.

The 27-year-old has been a regular for the Reds this season, featuring 17 times across all competitions, scoring one goal and registering two assists.

Out of the 12 league games Liverpool have played, Henderson has only missed two. He was on the bench for the 1-1 draw with Burnley and did not feature in the emphatic win against West Ham through injury.

The England international has been at the Reds since 2011 after moving from boyhood club Sunderland, and is contracted to stay until 2020.
