Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to suggest that forward Dominic Solanke should join Steven Gerrard at Rangers in the summer transfer window.

Solanke, 20, signed for the Reds last summer after his deal at Chelsea expired, but he has found life tough at Anfield as he is yet to score a single first team goal despite making 26 appearances across all competitions.

Although he has been a regular feature in Jurgen Klopp's matchday squads, the one-time England international has only had a handful of starts with four starts in the Premier League all season.

Solanke came off the bench in the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea on Sunday night and now it seems that Liverpool fans want him to be loaned out to Rangers in the summer after the Scottish Sun reported that Gerrard has made him his number one transfer target.

One Liverpool fan claimed that he would "drive him there".

Here is a selection of their tweets:

The Express has reported that Solanke earns £20,000-a-week on the five-year contract he agreed when signing for Liverpool last summer.

He was linked with a move to Celtic before agreeing terms on Merseyside as the Daily Record had reported that Brendan Rodgers was moving close to snapping up the centre-forward before he quit Stamford Bridge.
