Liverpool are frustrated with Diogo Jota's injury record amid interest from Arsenal, sources have told Football Insider.

Jota, 28, is attracting interest from Arsenal - who are looking for a new primary striker ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Reds are happy with Jota's output while available but are keeping a close eye on his fitness record after bouts of unavailability in recent seasons.

It is believed the Portugal international could render himself unreliable for Liverpool should his struggles with injury continue.

Liverpool frustrated with Jota's injury record amid Arsenal interest

Jota is under contract at Anfield until June 2027 after penning his most recent extension in August 2022.

He has missed 15 games across all competitions with injury this term and recently made his return to first-team action with a start in the loss against Plymouth on Sunday (9 February).

The forward has made 21 appearances across all competitions this term, notching eight goals and two assists.

Jota also sat out 24 games in the 2023-24 campaign after breaking down with three separate injury problems.

Liverpool fans want Chiesa sold after Plymouth display

Jota could be joined on the Liverpool scrapheap by Federico Chiesa, who failed to impress in the shock 1-0 FA Cup loss at Plymouth Argyle on Sunday (9 February).

The Anfield faithful called for Chiesa to be sold in the upcoming summer window - just 12 months after his arrival from Juventus.

Like Jota, the Italy international has also struggled with injury in his maiden season with Liverpool.
