Liverpool have compiled a huge scouting dossier on Palmeiras wonderkid Luis Guilherme ahead of a summer swoop, sources have told Football Insider.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (19 February) that the Merseysiders have made Guilherme - who has been compared with Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe - a top target ahead of the summer window.

Parallels between the 18-year-old and Mbappe have been drawn due to his incredible pace - with the teenager clocking an astonishing top speed of 36.4km/h in 2022.

Guilherme is widely regarded as one of the top prospects in the world following his senior breakthrough with Palmeiras.

Liverpool at the front of the queue to land 'next Mbappe'?

Liverpool have done their homework on the winger and a well-placed source has told Football Insider that they hope to be at the front of the queue to land him later this year after their "huge" scouting effort.

Sources say the Reds see Guilherme as a player with the ability to come in and make an immediate difference in the first team.

However, it is believed the teenager has attracted a lot of interest from other top European sides.

He only made his senior debut for Palmeiras in April 2023 but has already racked up 32 appearances across all competitions.

The electric sensation is already capped by Brazil at Under-20 level despite only turning 18 earlier this month.

Guilherme plays for Brazillian champions Palmeiras alongside fellow wonderkid Endrick, who has already agreed a move to Real Madrid.
