Liverpool may have found next Luis Suarez amid 'big' reveal - pundit
Darwin Nunez can be the next Luis Suarez for Liverpool, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England forward admitted it may take Nunez a month to get used to the Premier League.
The 23-year-old marked his competitive debut for Liverpool with a goal as they beat Man City 3-1 in the Community Shield last week (30 July).
He told club media on Thursday (4 August) that he was thrilled to score his first goal in such a “big game” against Man City in a final.
“Listen, he did very well,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“But you can tell there’s still a bit of rustiness there for Nunez.

“His first touch at times wasn’t great and that’s what happens in pre-season, you are going to be rusty.
“In the first month of the season you are going to be rusty, you are going to miss chances and have bad touches.
“You can tell there’s a player in there with Nunez. He’s going to learn the Premier League, it’s a tough league.
“He’ll get the chances, he’s going to get crosses and through balls. He’s aggressive, he wants to chase back.
“He reminds me of a Luis Suarez, [Edinson] Cavani sort of player.
“It’s what Liverpool are going to need and I really hope he can do well because he looks like a good lad as well.”
Nunez moved to Liverpool from Benfica for a club-record fee this summer that could reach £85million with add-ons.
The Uruguay international is under contract at Anfield until the summer of 2028.
