Lucas Leiva has jokingly mocked Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher and stated that he was not a good defender.
Reds midfielder Leiva made the comment about Carragher when asked: “who is the best defender from Bootle that you have ever played with”.
Bootle-born Carragher, who used to play at centre-back, now offers his views for Sky Sports and Leiva felt that it was only fair that he offered his criticism of the boyhood Everton fan.
Leiva has amassed 334 appearances for the club since joining in 2007 as he also shared the same field with Carragher on a number of occasions during his playing days.
Here is Leiva talking to the Anfield Wrap about Carragher as posted by their official Twitter account.
“He was s****,” Leiva jokingly stated. “Like he says about us now on Sky.”

Brazillian Leiva has played 19 games in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season, 12 appearances which have come in the Premier League.
The Anfield stalwart has seen his game time reduced this term as he has only started five league games.
Klopp has opted to used the defensive-minded player in a centre-back role on ten occasions, with a further six played in the middle of the park.
The Merseyside club travel to the Premier League champions Leicester City on Monday night as they aim to move back into the top four.
They currently sit in fifth, one point behind the Gunners and one point ahead of their north-west rivals Manchester United.
