If confidence could win you games Liverpool will be set for three points from their evening clash with Crystal Palace, after midfielder Emre Can posted an image from the team jet on Instagram.

Liverpool take on Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday evening, looking for three points that could take them clear at the top of the league if Arsenal and Man City slip up in their earlier games.

Can posted the image on Friday evening and re-iterated that it’s an “important game against Crystal Palace!”

Can joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014 for a fee of £10million but is yet to establish himself as a regular first-team starter for Jurgen Klopp, despite a string of impressive performances.

The 22-year-old midfielder has made eight appearances across all competitions this season, but has only contributed one assist, in the EFL Cup tie against Burton Albion.

In other Liverpool team news, Jamie Carragher has said that this player is key to Liverpool winning the title and would walk into any Premier League team.
