Kenny tells Liverpool to offload Origi and Shaqiri amid 'unhappy' Klopp reveal
Liverpool must jettison Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri in order to fund much-needed changes in key areas.
So says ex-Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Liverpool’s summer window so far.
Jurgen Klopp has let it be known to friends he is “unhappy” with Liverpool’s current transfer situation, as revealed by this site yesterday.
The manager has been told that he must offload fringe stars before he can make any signings this summer.
The club currently has the maximum number, 17, of non-homegrown players on the books and are therefore paralysed in the transfer market.
The Liverpool Echo reported on 21st July that Shaqiri and Origi are two players deemed expendable.

Kenny insists that the pair must be offloaded as soon as possible in order to fund “freshen up” the squad.
He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “I’d have thought they’d move them on as quick as possible.
“There are definitely areas they need strengthen where players let them down last year.
“It showed last season after they lost Van Dijk that it had a massive effect on the whole team.
“I think they need to get these players out and replace them. They need to freshen up and be quick about it as well.
“They’ve just lost the title as well and I’m sure they’ll want to put up a better fight than last time.”
Origi is contracted to Liverpool until next summer and featured 17 times last season.
Shaqiri meanwhile, who turned out 22 times for the Merseysiders last term, has a deal that runs until 2023,
