Alberto Moreno stunned Anfield with a spectacular curling strike to give Liverpool the lead against Stoke - and Jamie Carragher was just as shocked as fellow Reds supporters.

Carragher was given the score update by Ed Chamberlain live on Sky Sports' Super Sunday programme and he could not help but show his complete and utter shock.

The Spanish left-back has not scored for Liverpool since December 2014 against Swansea and surprised no one when he collected a quick free-kick and looked to let loose from distance.

Moreno has let fly from long-range numerous times this season often to no effect, but on this occasion his aim was true and Twitter was just as shocked as Carragher.

Moreno now has two goals to his name as a Liverpool player and one Twitter user was quick to compare him to one of the Premier League's top stars.

This final post teaches us one thing: Never give up on Alberto Moreno Perez.
