Twitter reacts to Chirivella's terrible Swansea display and blame surprise person
By Coral Barry
Jurgen Klopp hauled Pedro Chirivella off just 45 minutes into his full Premier League match against Swansea – and Liverpool supporters were quick to point the finger at their German manager.
The 18-year-old was glaringly out of his depth in Liverpool’s midfield alongside fellow academy graduate Kevin Stewart and really Klopp’s decision to replace him with Lucas Leiva at half-time was a mercy for the youngster.
Chirivella has long been tipped as the next big thing at Liverpool, but it was a torrid afternoon for the young midfielder, as he was overrun by the Swansea midfield and continually gave the ball away.
Liverpool supporters were spilt about whether to blame Chirivella or his lethargic teammates for his performance, but there is one thing every Reds fan could agree on.
Chirivella should never have been on the pitch in the first place.

Chirivella just couldn't hack it today, was so out of depth

I'm all for giving youth a chance to shine, but Pedro Chirivella is horribly out of his depth here vs Swansea. Painful to watch. #LFC

I get rotating and I get that Thursday is more important, but that Stewart/Chirivella midfield should never see the light of day.

Lucas has vastly improved the midfield in 6 basic passes. Chirivella was frighteningly bad.

I'm all for Chirivella getting a chance but I really don't think this game or this XI was the right time.

Don't think Chirivella will be playing under Klopp or even in a #LFC jersey for a while

Chirivella is up there with the worst players I've seen in the premier league!

So, what was the reaction to Chirivella’s substitution at half-time?
Thank god Chirivella is off

In other Liverpool news, one youngster not involved in the Swansea match has been likened to Dele Alli.
